Three years after their first meeting inside the Pinoy Big Brother house, Kaori Oinuma said she and love team partner Rhys Miguel have come a long way in showbiz. They were first paired onscreen last year in The Four Bad Boys and Me. Their latest teen romance series He’s Into Her ends its ten-episode run this month.

“Grabe ang bilis ng panahon. Parang kaka-start lang ng episode one tapos ngayon episode 10 na,” she said during the He’s Into Her finale blogcon.

While celebrating her birthday earlier this month, Kaori said she appreciated all the effort Rhys made for her including driving her up close to their He’s Into Her billboard in Metro Manila.

“Yung oras pa lang na binigay niya para ihatid ako dun sa billboard tapos sinamahan niya ako sa billboard, parang sabay nga kami nagpaulan nun eh kasi umuulan nun. Super blessed din kami na meron kaming Kaori supporter na sobra sobra kung magmahal grabe. Super grateful kami sa kanila. And siyempre sa lahat din ng He’s Into Her supporters,” she said.

While doing their scenes together in He’s Into Her, Kaori said she had to try different things to develop her onscreen chemistry with Rhys.

“Hindi ko talaga alam nung una kung paano ko siya pakikiligin. So naghanap ako ng katulong kung paano siya pakikiligin. Sabi nila, ‘Magpa-cute ka’ so nagpa-cute ako sa kanya, parang nag-ha-heart sign ako sa kanya, kumikindat ako sa kanya. Effective naman pala (laughs),” she recalled.

Now that the series is over, Kaori said she and Rhys remain in touch and maintain a close friendship. “Ngayon solid friends naman kami. Compared dati sa unang unang shoot namin,ngayon masasabi ko na mas kumportable na kami ngayon,” she added.
