As part of the new iWantTFC Original Series My Sunset Girl, actor Joem Bascon said he is happy to play the role of Jameson Blake’s stepfather in the six-episode digital series.

“Maganda yung story. Maganda lahat. Ako ang tatay tatayan dito ni Jameson Blake. Ako ang may hawak ng sikreto ng kanilang pamilya,” he shared during the My Sunset Girl media con.

After working with My Sunset Girl co-stars Charlie Dizon and Jameson Blake, Joem said they were very open to being mentored by older cast members like him and Mylene Dizon.

“Siyempre give and take naman yan sa eksena. Masarap ka-eksena yung mga nag-ri-receive from you tapos nagbibigayan kayong dalawa. Masarap siyang gawin and I guess very receptive naman sila sa amin sa mga eksenang ginagawa namin. Malayo pa ang mararating ng dalawa with their work ethic. Siguro more pa, marami pa silang mas bibigating aktor na makakatrabaho so madami pa silang matututunan. More than sa character, yung pagiging professional sa set,” he explained.

When asked to share which scene in the six-episode series was his favorite, Joem said it was with fellow senior cast member Mylene Dizon who plays Charlie’s overprotective mother.

“First ko dito maka-work si Mylene. First time na tayo lang yung magka-eksena. And yun I’m happy na si Mylene yung ka-eksena ko. Siyempre dream yan ng lahat ng actors na maka-work yung mga magagaling na actress,” he said.
