Kapamilya stars Kim Chiu and Paulo Avelino, whose love team has stormed the world, will star in a new Star Cinema film this year. The KimPau tandem announced their first-ever movie together earlier today at the opening segment of noontime variety program, It’s Showtime.

This will be the first time that Kim and Paulo will headline a film following the success of their series, Linlang and What’s Wrong With Secretary Kim.

Their film titled, My Love Will Make You Disappear, will be directed by Chad Vidanes. He has already worked with the onscreen couple in What’s Wrong With Secretary Kim as their director as well.

He teased that the KimPau movie will feature a “classic romantic comedy film” but will tackle new ideas as well. The film’s story is made by Prime Cruz and written by Patrick Valencia and Isabella Policarpio.

“Namiss natin ang pelikulang romcom… New era na ng Star Cinema sa paggawa ng pelikula,” the film director shared.

When asked for a brief description of the premise of the film, Chad shared how it will showcase a “wild and fun” story for both Kim and Paulo.

“How the magic of love can make things go wild and fun,” he teased.

Meanwhile, Kim and Paulo expressed how excited they both are for their first feature film together. Despite their busy schedule–– both locally and internationally–– the onscreen couple will make the time for the highly-anticipated movie for their fans.

My Love Will Make You Disappear will be showing in cinemas nationwide sometime this year. Kim, Paulo, and the film’s director added that more details for the movie will come out soon.

In a previous interview with ABS-CBN News, Paulo expressed his gratitude towards the positive reception his pairing with Kim has received lately. He factored their maturity as one of the reasons as to why their tandem clicked to the fans.

“I'm very grateful that we've done two shows back to back and they were two different genres of shows... It's always nice to see that in some way we can give happiness and marami kaming napapasaya na fellow kabayans natin and Kapamilya natin all over the world," he previously said.
