Kapamilya star Paulo Avelino shared that if there's a dream project that he would want to take on, it would be starring in a sci-fi film.

"A dream project, I've always wanting to [star] in a big sci-fi movie," he said in an interview with ABS-CBN News.

He went on: "Because it's hard to produce a sci-fi movie, it requires a lot of budget, there's just so many stuff to do. But you know someday, I like to do a sci-fi movie that's produced and made in the Philippines."

In the same interview, the actor shared his thoughts on the success of his two recent shows on ABS-CBN, Linlang and What's Wrong With Secretary Kim with Kim Chiu.

"I'm very grateful that we've done two shows back to back and they were two different genres of shows... It's always nice to see that in some way we can give happiness and marami kaming napapasaya na fellow kabayans natin and Kapamilya natin all over the world," he said.

On what he thinks is the reason why his onscreen pairing with Kim worked out well in the two shows, he replied: "I think it also comes with the maturity of the actors and the maturity of what the role requires."

He went on: "[With] Linlang and What's Wrong with Secretary Kim... it requires a certain type of maturity for the actors playing the roles, maybe that's one."

In a previous interview with Luis Manzano for his YouTube vlog, Paulo opened up about the adjustments he made from shifting from doing a heavy role in Linlang to doing a totally opposite role in What's Wrong With Secretary Kim.

"It wasn’t easy. It took some time for me to adjust. I haven't done a rom-com in a while or something funny, so it took a lot of time which I wished I had more (to put) a lot of effort. I’m thankful to people behind Secretary Kim ‘cause they were very supportive, to our director na sobrang supportive sa pag-guide sa akin doing rom-com again and also Kim (Chiu)," he admitted.

The actor went on: "May mga preparations na minsan hina-hype ko na rin 'yung sarili ko pagdating ng jokes. Nagbabaon na ako ng jokes, nagjo-joke na rin ako sa set kaya nagugulat sila."
