Kapamilya stars score national wins at Asian Academy Creative Awards

Various Kapamilya artists and shows grabbed the national awards at the 2023 Asian Academy Creative Awards. They are set to represent the country in the upcoming Grand Awards this coming December 6 and 7 at the historic Chijmes Hall of Singapore.

Arjo Atayde was hailed as the Best Actor in a Leading Role for Cattleya Killer, while Sue Ramirez bagged Best Actress in a Supporting Role for the Viu Philippines series, K-LOVE.

Cattleya Killer bagged several other national wins from the prestigious award-giving body as well. The hit series is set to represent the country in the Best Cinematography (Juan Lorenzo Orendain III) and Best Drama Series categories.

Meanwhile, hit primetime series Dirty Linen bagged two national wins with Best Direction (Fiction) and Best Promo or Trailer. Other Kapamilya shows such as Flower of Evil; Everybody, Sing!; ASAP Natin ‘To; and Drag You and Me were among the national winners as well.

Best Comedy Programme - K-LOVE

Best Direction (Fiction) - Onat Diaz (Dirty Linen)

Best Documentary Programme (One-off) - The Atom Araullo Specials: Anak

Best Documentary Series - 24 Hours, GMA Integrated News

Best Drama Series - Cattleya Killer
