After months of rumors, Charlie Dizon has finally confirmed her relationship with Carlo Aquino.

While appearing on TV5’s Gud Morning Kapatid on Thursday (July 20), the 27-year-old actress referred to Carlo, 37, as her boyfriend for the first time.

“Opo, boyfriend ko po siya,” she confessed.

“Ay, first time ko sinabi sa inyo yan,” she added.

Opening up about their romance, the Pira-Pirasong Paraiso star said, “Paano nag-click? Di ko alam, e, kasi makuwento talaga akong tao. Tapos siya yung tahimik, so siguro dun, na-balance.”

Rumors involving Charlie and Carlo began circulating last year after the Fan Girl actress shared photos of the pair being surprisingly affectionate on social media.

The actor later confirmed that he was dating Charlie in an interview with ABS-CBN News in January.

Talking about their relationship, Carlo said he and Charlie started going out after getting to know each other more during the Star Magic U.S. tour last year.

“Actually… ‘di ba nagkasama kami sa ‘A Soldier’s Heart’? Nagkakilala kami doon. Tapos nag-US tour, mas nakilala ko siya. Tapos pag-uwi, ‘yun na,” he said.

At the time, Carlo revealed spending the New Year holiday with Charlie and his family in La Union.

“Kasi ‘yung brother ko 'di nakauwi from Sydney at saka 'yung wife niya ng two years dahil nga sa pandemic. So pag-uwi nila, 'yung mga relatives nung sister-in-law ko pumunta," he explained.

Charlie and Carlo are set to co-star in Black Sheep’s upcoming film Third World Romance, which will open in cinemas nationwide on August 16.

The two previously worked together on the ABS-CBN action series A Soldier's Heart in 2020.
