“Surprise! With our other co-stars Miles Ocampo and TonTon Gutierrez!!!” revealed Sharon Cuneta on her Instagram, sharing photos of them together.

“I love you, mama 🤍,” replied Miles to the Megastar’s post.

Last June 12, 2023, Sharon revealed that she would be working on a still-untitled movie project with Director Nuel Naval and screenwriter Mel Del Rosario. She also confirmed that she would be working with actor Alden Richards, who will be playing her son in the project.

“My new movie is under Cineko Productions and Direk @directfromncn with a script by Mel Del Rosario - co-starring my new movie son, the one and only @aldenrichards02!!!" she revealed.

Alden also shared a photo of himself hugging his movie mom on his own Instagram account.

“Excited for this,” he captioned their photo.

While it will be Sharon’s first time working with Alden, it isn’t the first time that Sharon will be working with Tonton on a film. In fact, some Sharonians expressed excitement at the idea of a movie reunion between the two.

Sharon and Tonton previously worked together on films such as Nakagapos na Puso, Kaputol ng Isang Awit, Sana’y Wala Nang Wakas, and Kapantay ay Langit.

On his Instagram account, Direk Nuel shared photos of the cast during the second day of their workshop.

With them was Ina Feleo, who also worked as the workshop facilitator.

“In photo are all of us and Workshop Facilitator (and girl with awesome pedigree—her mom is Direk Laurice Guillen and her dad is the late Johnny Delgado!) Ina Feleo,” shared Sharon. “Thank You Lord for a great project! Super excited!!!”

It has been a couple of years since Sharon has had a movie project. Sharon’s last movie was Revirginized by Viva Films, released in 2021.

Last March 2023, Sharon wrote a message for ABS-CBN, which has been her home network since 1988. She looked back on the projects she had with the network.

“I have been and will always be a Kapamilya,” she began.

However, due to several factors, she no longer has a long-term contract with the station. Now a free agent, Sharon has opened herself to projects elsewhere.

“While I will always be there when they need me and will always be grateful, I guess it is understandable that I for now consider myself a free agent,” she explained. “A girl’s gotta work where she can and where she’s wanted.”

Nevertheless, Sharon reiterated her love and gratitude for the Kapamilya network. She also promised to “always [keep her] Kapamilya “duties,” “if and when they come.”

“I love you, ABS-CBN. My memory and loyalty are unquestionable,” she stated.
