Seth Fedelin just asked Francine Diaz to be his date!

As the date for the first-ever Star Magical Prom draws closer, Kapamilya stars are starting to plan the special night with their chosen date. 

Last March 18, ABS-CBN talent management arm Star Magic shared on its YouTube channel Seth Fedelin’s romantic promposal to his Dirty Linen co-star, Francine Diaz, which took place in a quiet garden in Dasmariñas, Cavite last March 12.

In the almost ten-minute video, Seth is shown personally preparing the romantic outdoor set-up which included the message spelled out with candles in the grass. The message says: “Will you be my prom date?” Apparently, the 20-year-old actor also made sure Francine’s family knew about his plans. 

“Naghanda ako para sa surpirse na ‘to. Unang una, pinagplanuhan ko ‘to and kinausap ko si tita na nanay ni Francine and then manager ni Francine para smooth lang. So eto, namili kami. Galing ako sa Dangwa. Namili ako ng bulaklak na gusto niya, na alam kong paborito niya,” he revealed. 

Seth said that it took him over a week to prepare everything. 

“Kasi ako lahat ’to. Nagpatulong lang ako sa mga kaibigan ko. Imagination ito. Pero simple lang naman ito and gusto ko lang gawing nakakakilig, bagets style. Ayoko nung masyadong engrande. 'Yung simple lang, kasi simple lang naman si Chin eh. This is it. Lulunukin ko muna yung aking kaba," Seth said.

"Tinanong ko si Francine. Sabi ko, ‘Kain tayo. Bonding tayo sa family ko, sabay ka namin. Meron kaming kakainan.’ Pero ngayon si Francine ay may family day kaya baka hindi na 'yun makakain, busog na. Kikiligin na lang. Excited ako talaga. Sana maging maayos ito at maging maganda. Para sa kanya ito. Para kay Francine ito. Espesyal siya kaya gawin nating espesyal itong araw na ito,” he added.

Upon Francine's arrival, Seth blindfolded his Dirty Linen co-star and led her to the set-up in the garden.

In an earlier interview, the Gold Squad member was asked if he was nervous about her answer. “Sobra. Ang ilalagay ko nga dito, ‘Yes or yes?’ eh. Walang yes or no. Bawal mag-no,” he jokingly said.

Apart from working together on the popular primetime series Dirty Linen, Seth and Francine were seen attending the Teen Clash Celebrity screening together earlier this month.

After accepting his promposal, Seth capped off the night with Francine by watching fireworks in the garden together. 

“Alam mo bang pumunta pa akong Bulacan, bumili ako ng fountain, bumili ako ng mga bulaklak, itong mga ‘to. Lahat ako 'yan. I do my research,” he proudly told Francine in the video.

During her post-promposal interview, Francine shared why Seth took her completely by surprise that night. 

“Thank you. Obvious naman plinano mo ’to. Na-fi-feel ko 'yung kaba mo. Kaya pala first mag-puti ni Seth. First time niya magsuot ng ganyan. Soba. Ang alam ko, dinner lang talaga. And then bigla niya akong blinindfold," Francine said.

"Kinidnap niya po ako. Hindi ko naisip at all kasi usually pag nag-aaya sila ng dinner, as in dinner lang talaga. So never sumagi sa isip ko na may surprise,” she added.

Aside from Seth and Francine, other celebrity couples who are going together to the Star Magical prom are Aljon Mendoza and Jayda Avanzado and Vivoree and Brent Manalo, among others.
