Seasoned actor John Arcilla gave his opinion on the Executive Order issued by President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. regarding wearing of face masks in open spaces on his Instagram account. The actor maintained his position that he will still be wearing a face mask outdoors.

This comes after the government declared that wearing of face masks in open spaces and “non-crowded” outdoor areas with good ventilation is now optional.

For the veteran actor, everyone plays a huge part in stopping the spread of the virus. While wearing a face mask in open spaces is now optional, John wants to ensure the safety of his loved ones.

Following his posts, his fans have shown their support for the veteran actor. Some of the netizens could relate to John as they’ve gone through the pains of testing positive for COVID-19 and being separated from their loved ones.

Back in 2021, the actor’s older brother and younger sister succumbed to the COVID-19 virus. Due to their untimely deaths, John is firm on his decision to make sure the rest of his family won’t suffer because of the virus.

“Hindi kalayaan ang itaya ang sarili sa peligro,” he warned his followers.
