Rufa Mae Quinto was once an achiever in school.

A photo of Rufa Mae wearing the toga of the Ateneo de Manila University has been making rounds online.

Although it appears the photo has been either photoshopped or altered to make memes out of IT, the comedienne seemed to have just taken them lightly.

In an Instagram post, Rufa reacted to the photo of herself wearing the toga which seemingly showed her “achievement” as a cum laude graduate.

But according to Rufa, “toga lang po ang joke” but the achiever part is true.

“Back to school na naman guysh. Yes! Cum laude daw. Katuwa naman. Go go gold medalist your honor like honor student. To be honest, itong toga lang po ang joke,” she said.

Apparently, Rufa was an honor student back in high school. In fact, she was the valedictorian of her class during her stay at St. Vincent School.

“Actually I’m an honor student in high school. Hinde po joke y’un. Totoong First honor po ako sa St. Vincent school. Thanks school for giving me the medal. Go go gold! Todo na to!” she remarked.
