Even though Sunshine Cruz and her three daughters Angelina, Cheska, and Sam were recently introduced as the celebrity ambassadors of a new lifestyle and fitness chain in the country, the sexy actress revealed that this was not the first time for them to represent a brand as a family.

“Nag-endorse na din kami ng vitamins before as a family and it is always a blessing na makapag-endorse at maging ambassadors. This is very different and nakaka-flatter na mapili ako at ang mga anak ko to be the ambassadors of Surge,” she shared during the launch of Surge Lifestyle + Fitness flagship branch in Glorietta mall in Makati city.

Sunshine admitted that keeping fit and healthy is a priority not just for her children but most especially for her as well as a single parent.

“It’s very, very important lalo na sa akin na laging nagtatrabaho. It’s very, very important for me na makapag-workout because it gives more energy sa akin tapos mas nakakapag-focus ako sa pagbabasa at pag memorize ng script.

“Tapos at the same time, working out sa Surge, nakakapag-bond kami. It’s a part of bonding namin ng mga anak ko and nakakatuwa lang kasi na I don’t know, maybe na-i-inspire ko sila na mag-workout. Parang magbabarkada kami pag nag-wo-workout. And sometimes sila pa yung nag-i-inspire sa akin at nag-pu-push sa akin.

“So nakakatuwa na yung working out is part of our bonding as mom and daughters. No pressure talaga kami in working out. Kasi di ba dapat ganun naman talaga? Kung ano yung na-e-enjoy ninyo na workout, dapat yun ang gawin niyo para hindi maging traumatic ang experience ninyo (laughs),” she explained.

The new Surge Fitness ambassador also shared how proud she was of her boyfriend Macky Mathay’s successful bid during the recent national elections.

“He’s from District 2 of San Juan. Macky was an executive assistant to mayor Francis Zamora and then na-request ng mga tao na bakit hindi siya maging public servant and that has always been his dream. Kaya all out support naman kami ng mga bata sa kanya. We’re very happy and we’re very proud of Macky kasi alam namin yung puso niya. Na talagang magsisilbi siya for the San Juaneños,” she admitted.
