Sharing a close friendship ever since their Ang TV days as child stars, Rica Peralejo featured her good friend Camille Prats in her latest vlog titled, “Camille Prats on losing husband, remarrying, fitness, submission.” Rica started off the vlog enjoying a workout session with Camille while chatting about different topics.

In the vlog, Camille also shared more details about becoming a widow at the age of 31. The 37-year-old actress lost her first husband Anthony Linsangan to nasopharyngeal cancer in 2011.

“I remember being so lost. Hindi ako makapaniwala na nasa ganito akong sitwasyon. Like everyday it felt like waking up in a dream.”

Camille also shared that during this challenging period in her life, she never once resented God.

“Nung nabuntis kasi ako kay Nathan, medyo parang kinuwestion ko si God na, ‘Why me?’ I was at the peak of my career. Halos hindi ka natutulog, hindi ka nagpapahinga sa trabaho tapos biglang buntis ka. So when Anthony got sick, I got my answer to why I got pregnant two or three years back nung nagkasakit siya. I get na why I had Nathan early on. Maybe it was because to have Anthony experience how it was to be a dad. Na even for just a short while, he was able to experience how it is to be married and to have a family. So I think that’s my purpose in his life. Ang alam ko lang, lahat ng nangyayari sa buhay natin may dahilan and I was really just holding on to that reason kung bakit siya nangyari,” Camille shared.

Now happily married to her second husband VJ Yambao, Camille recalled why he made such a big first impression on her when they were just eight years old. The couple had known each other since they were in grade two.

“He was my seatmate and kaya siya tumatak sa akin kasi ang bait niya sa akin. I was doing Sarah (Ang Munting Prinsesa) at that time so siyempre laging absent. Papasok ako sa school kulang kulang yung gamit ko. And he would always give me a pad paper or whatever it is I was needing.”

Camille married VJ in 2017. They have two children together, Nolan and Nala. Camille’s eldest son Nathan is from her late husband Anthony Linsangan while VJ also has a son from a previous relationship.
