Star for all seasons Vilma Santos revealed in her post on social media that she has been battling the effects of long COVID. The veteran actress shared that she has been resting and isolating herself since she still has the symptoms.
Though she has already tested negative in the tests, Vilma added she just needs more time to rest.
“Kahit anong ingat ang ginawa ko, nakuha pa rin po ako ng COVID. So ang advice po ng mga doktor sa akin, I really had to rest. In fact, up to now kailangan medyo rest lang,” she said.
The actress, who turns 70 years old today, November 3, warned her friends and followers that the deadly virus is still out there. She shared that she has been experiencing asthma attacks, fluctuating blood pressure, and headaches.
“Please, COVID is still here. Lalo na sa tulad ko po, sa edad ko na mga senior, you really have to be careful. Hindi po talaga madali,” she added.
“Ibang klase po ‘yung COVID ko. Negative na ako pero ito po daw ‘yung tinatawag nilang long COVID,” she shared.
Vilma knows how her fans have been patiently waiting for her comeback. The veteran actress just told them to be more patient as she gets her energy back and fully recovers from the effects of COVID-19.
“Pasensya na kayo, hindi ko nasasagot ang mga text niyo. Wala pa akong vlog pero ngayon I’m trying my very best. Babalik din tayo,” she continued.
The veteran star is set to make her movie comeback with film director Erik Matti. This will be the first time in six years that Vilma will be back in the big screens after the movie, Everything About Her.
