Former actress Rica Peralejo shared her public speaking experience on her Instagram post yesterday, November 18. The celebrity mom admitted that speaking isn’t her forte but she would willingly do it if it meant she would be able to teach people.

Rica was invited as a speaker for an event of the Christian group, the Feast.

“I am now able to reconcile my speaking with my love for teaching. Though not for the reason you might think. I don’t like to educate others to help them know what I know but because teaching causes me to seek that which I don’t know, so I could have something valuable to give to others,” she wrote.

The 41-year-old former actress added that while she teaches others, she also gets to learn from them. Rica opened up that she wouldn’t speak as if she knows everything around her.

“I never speak from a superior position, but only from a fellow learner’s posture of wanting to know more. And I am happy to do it because the pleasure of learning is mine! ☺️ They say the best way to learn something is to teach it,” she added.

Rica talked about how she acknowledges she isn’t a perfect parent to her kids, who at a young age have been exposed to their Christian beliefs. The celebrity vlogger instead revealed that she shares her real self with her kids.

“I realized how we’d been saying to be a great example to our kids is key to great parenting when really, we mustn't make our children believe we are able to keep up with this image of never finding ourselves falling short. Instead we must point to The One Who Could; the spotless role model can only be Jesus,” she shared.

Rica married her husband, Joseph Bonifacio, back in 2010. The couple have two sons named Philip and Manu.
