The highly-anticipated drag competition, Drag Den Philippines, is finally set to premiere on December 8, after it dropped the official trailer earlier today, November 17. They also announced the eight drag queens who will be competing for the crown.

Joining “Drag Lord” Manila Luzon are internet sensation Sassa Gurl who will be the “Drag Runner” of the show and beauty queen Nicole Cordoves who will be the “Drag Dealer” of the competition.

The official trailer showcased Manila Luzon sitting on a throne as she excitedly introduced the drag queens who are set to compete on the show. The eight Filipino drag queens who will be competing in Drag Den are O-A, Maria Cristiina, Aries Night, Barbie-Q, Shewarma, Pura Luka Vega, NAIA, and Lady Gagita.

“This is the Drag Lord speaking. I just want to inform you that after years and years and years of searching, I finally found it! But first as the Drag Dealer, you must bring them to me. Tell the Drag Runner to send these invitations. I really look forward to meeting them all,” she said in the trailer.

The show was first teased back in July 2021 and opened its auditions a month later to hopeful Filipino drag queens. After their announcement, the show seemed to halt their social media promotions last May and only came back in September.

Manila Luzon assured fans that the show will air soon and explained that Drag Den Philippines was “just on Filipino time.” Netizens shared their excitement over the announcement of the participating drag queens.

Drag Den Philippines is produced by Project 8 and Cornerstone Studios. This was supposed to be the first drag competition in the Philippines, but Drag Race Philippines premiered earlier.
