After portraying the role of police detective Iris in the thriller drama series Flower of Evil, actress Lovi Poe admitted she felt emotional watching the finale trailer for the show which will air its final episode on October 9, Sunday.

“It always brings you back to that moment nung ginagawa mo yung series kasi nga parang for some reason you relive that moment once you watch it again. It’s just nice kasi alam ko naman na everyone worked really hard. It’s just not just actors, it’s our whole production team. Basically, ang sarap lang ng pakiramdam kasi mas nangingibabaw yung hard work ng lahat ng tao imbis na yung hirap na pinagdaanan namin sa set,” she said during the Flower of Evil finale presscon last October 4.

Having been part of the Philippine remake to a hit South Korean series of the same name, Lovi said the challenge for her was also to be able to mix well with a brand new cast since Flower of Evil is her first series with ABS-CBN since her network transfer last year.

“It’s more of like making it your own for me. So that was the challenge. But I’m just so glad that for the guidance of our directors. Talagang they led us to making it our own version. The challenging part is how intimidating all the actors are. It’s everyone na pinapanuod ko and everyone that I look up to. Kasi parang everyone almost first time ko makakatrabaho. So parang when I was first doing a scene with Piolo (Pascual) I was like oh my God I was like dying inside.

“Of course I pray that I get to work with Piolo again kasi parang nakakabitin. I feel like there’s so much more that we can do and we spent how many months together and I feel like there’s so much more that we can give. So I would love to do a movie with him. We talked about this din before kahit nga mag-MMK kami.

When you’re there on set and you share the same energy. Of course our directors are the captain of the ship but Piolo is the one holding the group together and his energy is very contagious. So when the leader gives his best, he does not even complain, you have no choice but to actually be the same kasi you have to emulate such character. Now I understand why Piolo’s always been Piolo Pascual for a reason. Not just because he’s amazing actor but because of his character as a person,” she said.
