“Nakakagulat na umaga po sa inyong lahat,” greeted actress Sunshine Cruz on her Facebook account.

Sunshine was beyond surprised when the news of her supposed rekindled relationship with her ex-husband Cesar Montano reached her. Apparently, videos and posts claiming that Sunshine and Cesar have a more-than-friends relationship has been making the rounds online.

“FAKE NEWS,” declared Sunshine of these posts.

At first, Sunshine couldn’t understand why she kept getting greetings from people.

“I’ve been sent a few videos about this fake news spreading and nagtataka nga ako na may mga bumabati at nagco-congratulate sa’kin,” she shared.

Sunshine shared snippets of the fake news items claiming that she was pregnant with Cesar’s child and was remarrying him.

“Hindi po ako buntis sa pang-apat na anak ko DAW with my ex,” Sunshine stressed. “Hindi po ako magpapakasal sa aking ex.”

Cesar and Sunshine share three daughters: Angelina, Sam, and Chesca. They got married in 2000, separated in 2013, and their marriage got annulled in 2018. While they have made amends with each other and were both in attendance at family gatherings, it does not at all mean that they have rekindled their romantic relationship. Both Cesar and Sunshine are just thankful that they are now able to be together in a blended family setup.

Cesar is currently in a relationship with Kath Angeles, who has also been attending family gatherings as well. He shared that the Sunshine and Kath even chatted with each other during a recent family trip to Anilao, Batangas. Sunshine even thanked Kath for being part of their family.

"Thank you Kath for being a wonderful Tita to my girls, I/we appreciate you! My girls love your kids so much,” Sunshine once said.

With the rumors circulating, Sunshine felt it was best to put an end to the speculations and definitively state that there was nothing more between her and Cesar.

“Since meron pa ring napapaniwala and as respect sa partner at bagong pamilya ni Cesar, gusto ko sabihin na wala pong katotohanang buntis ako at magpapakasal sa aking ex-husband,” Sunshine clarified.
