After opening up about her journey to emotional healing earlier this month, actress Maxene Magalona took some time to enjoy a relaxing weekend in Baguio City. The 35-year-old actress visited some of the most beautiful and relaxing spots found in the city of Pines.
She wrote, “Met some of the warmest souls in one of the coldest places in the Philippines! Sending my love and gratitude to these beautiful beings who made my trip feel extra safe and special! Thank you, thank you, thank you! 🤗🤗🤗✨✨✨🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼”
While walking around Baguio, the 35-year-old actress also shared some tips to help her followers get a more positive mindset.
“Things that you can do to help improve your overall mood and well-being:
1. Take a walk.
2. Connect to Mother Earth.
3. Go for a run.
4. Get some sun.
“You always have a choice. Either you stay in the dark or go towards the light. Keep going towards the light and God will meet you there 🤗✨🧚🏼♀️
“P.S. Thank you so much to all the kind passersby who agreed to take my photos for me. Para-paraan lang yan. If there’s a Will, there’s a Smith. 😉 #WALEY”
As a vegan, Maxene also made sure to try the different plant-based food options in the city.
“Yes I went on this trip to nourish my soul but damn it, the body loves to eat too! 😅 Here are some of the vegan/vegetarian dishes that I had while I was in Baguio.
“Vegan choices here are quite limited although one of my followers sent me a message saying that there are a lot of local vendors that sell through food apps! I will definitely look into those when I go back 🤗”
After spending at day at the scenic Baguio Country Club, Maxene admitted that she now sees the world very differently from before.
“If you choose unconsciously, you evolve unconsciously. If you choose consciously, you evolve consciously.” — @gary_zukav, #TheSeatofTheSoul ✨
“One of our common goals as human beings is conscious evolution. We are here to grow and align with our higher selves which is an evolutionary process that we can achieve by activating and connecting to our souls. Sadly, most humans are blinded and controlled by their ego which is why they stay stuck in the prison of their minds, overruled by their thoughts and obsessed with their image. I’m speaking based on experience because this is exactly how I used to be.
“When God brought me to the path of self-realization through yoga and meditation, my life drastically changed. The way I view the world now is from a totally different lens. I can finally see, feel and sense beyond the limitations of the five senses and view the Universe from a multisensory perspective.
“Meditation helps me become more mindful, conscious and present. It allows me to have clear and true intentions that aid in my decision-making. It was through this ancient practice that I was able to make the conscious decision to go on a road trip to Baguio so that I could spend time in nature, nourish my soul and raise my vibration. Whenever our frequency feels low and our energy is depleted, we need to consciously make better choices so that we can bring ourselves into alignment.
“Just like how I consciously chose to take this trip, I am also very much aware that this hot chocolate I’m drinking isn’t vegan because it’s made with dairy but I am choosing to be okay with this decision, nonetheless.
“In the end, it’s always about perspective. Your outer world is a reflection of your inner state of being. Change your mindset, change your life. 🧚🏼♀️
After seeing a public sign with a bible verse that resonated with her, Maxene shared her reflection it as well as how meditation has helped her become a more mindful and conscious person. “One more way on how I’ve been operating and making decisions lately is by completely eliminating fear from my system. 🙅🏻♀️ The Universe responds to the kind of energies that we work with and it can feel our vibrations which is why no matter how much we pray and manifest, we won’t be able to receive God’s blessings as long as there are feelings of fear, anxiety, and doubt blocking them out. This is why it’s so important for us to make the conscious effort of releasing negative emotions by acknowledging and holding space for them and then eventually letting them go. We hold space for our emotions by allowing ourselves to feel them instead of denying or running away from them.
“When it comes to fear in particular, I acknowledge it by identifying it when I feel it and then make the decision to override it. Specifically, when it comes to making decisions and I find myself feeling fearful, I acknowledge the emotion, silence my overthinking mind and then follow what my heart and soul feel. I pray to God to enlighten and help me make the right decision and for Him to give me the strength that I need to go through with it.
“I always, always, ALWAYS choose faith over fear.”
