Jessy Mendiola addressed public speculation that she is no longer getting projects because she is a “has-been.”
In a sit-down interview with Enchong Dee, Jessy got candid about her personal life as she answered honest questions from the Kapamilya actor.
According to Jessy, she has been getting offers for various projects but refused to accept them due to health reasons.
“Ang totoo n’yan, ever since before the pandemic started, marami ng offers talaga but I think it’s more of I value my health more than anything,” she said.
With several TV production units enforcing lock-in tapings to prevent the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19) disease, she said it became one of her considerations in accepting projects.
“And ever since the pandemic started, siyempre nandyan ‘yung fear, nandyan ‘yung kailangan mong ma-lock in, nandyan ‘yung marami kang taong makakasama,” she remarked.
Revealing she’s now happier than ever, Jessy said she’s enjoys doing vlogging compared to acting stints.
“I feel that nasa point na ako ng life ko na I’m enjoying what I’m doing which is vlogging. I think nandoon na tayo sa point ng buhay natin na hindi na tayo nape-pressure to please everyone,” she said.
Apparently, she also earns more today compared to when she was swamped with work before.
According to Jessy, her earnings mostly come from endorsements and other content on social media.
