As one of the new investors of Academy of Rock Philippines, Joshua Garcia said he was influenced to try his first business venture by fellow Kapamilya actor and businessman Enchong Dee.

“Yes this is my first investment. Si Enchong nag convince sa akin dito. Nag-sa-study kasi ako ngayon ng Business Entrepreneurship and I want to learn more about business. I think this is going to be my training ground. So nung pinitch sa’kin nila Enchong, tinour nila ako dito sa lugar, nagustuhan ko siya. Music kasi is very close to my heart so sabi ko di naman masama to invest din dito. Hindi lang naman kasi pera yung ininvest ko dito, time din and friendship with Enchong,” he told PUSH during the Academy of Rock Philippines relaunch held last July 18 in Quezon City.

After celebrating his seventh year in showbiz earlier this year, Joshua said he will still prioritize his acting career and even plan to enroll in the music academy in the future to hone his musical skills.

“Ngayon mas focused pa din talaga ako sa acting but ang laking part din talaga ng music sa’kin. Iba yung pagmamahal ko sa music. Walang araw na di ako nakikinig sa music. Mas focused pa din ako sa acting pero gusto kong matuto ng iba’t ibang instruments and I think makakatulong sakin ang Academy of Rock (AOR). Mag-e-enroll talaga ako dito,” he added.

After making his initial investment, Joshua said he is open to try other business ventures but for now, his focus will be on AOR.

“Sa ngayon wala pa akong naiisip na ma-open na business so ngayon, nag-i-invest muna ako sa different businesses. Like for example, dito sa Academy of Rock. In the future siyempre sana maka-start ako. Gusto ko din makapag produce ng movies. I’m just very optimistic dito sa Academy of Rock. Gusto ko na mas maging successful kami. Makapagtayo ng iba’t ibang branches pa. Mas marami kaming matulungan na local artist pa na mas ma hone yung talent nila,” he said.
