Julia Barretto and Joshua Garcia starred in the music video for Moira Dela Torre's hit song "Paubaya."

On Valentine's Day, the online world went abuzz over the video which starred the ex-lovers.

The music video started light with the two stars portraying a happy and in love couple who are about to get married.

But later on, the music video turned emotional as the two characters had to say goodbye to each other.

"I'm sorry, Josh. I'm sorry napagod ako. I'm sorry nawala ako. Natakot ako kasi hindi kita mahanap noon. Binigay ko sa'yo lahat, naubos lang ako. I'm sorry nasaktan kita," Julia said to Joshua in one of the scenes in the video.

"Gusto kong mag-thank you sa'yo sa lahat ng memories na ibinigay mo sa akin. Hindi man natin nagawa 'yung mga pangarap natin, masaya na ako sa mga pinagsamahan natin. Masaya ako na masaya ka," Joshua told Julia in the scene.

"Gusto kong maging masaya ka rin," Julia then remarked.

Many netizens commented that their heartbreaking scene in the video felt raw and natural. Netizens even dubbed it as the "closure" that the former couple did not have before.

"The ending is giving me a whole new level of goosebumps. The fact that both of them ended it in the Church and the last line ‘Pinapaubaya ko na sa Kanya’ with ‘Kanya’ pertaining to God is powerful. Joshua loved Julia so bad, he wants God to take over the love of his life he could not have. This isn't acting guys. This is closure. And this is what breaks our hearts over a hundredfold because it is both a tribute and an ending to their relationship music video," one netizen commented.

"Respect for Josh and Julia's courage to have their closure, whether this MV is scripted or not, at least for once, they've got the chance to express themselves, tell each other the pain they've got from their ill-fated relationship, and they've got to say ‘SALAMAT, PAALAM at PATAWAD,’" another netizen said.

It was in June 2019 when Julia and Joshua confirmed that they had already gone their separate ways.

The video has already amassed more than 4 million views as of this writing.

According to Moira, it's the last chapter of her "Patawad" era.
