Korean stars Park Bo-gum and Suzy stirred up excitement among fans after sharing teaser photos on social media ahead of the upcoming release of their sci-fi romance film Wonderland.

On her Instagram page, Suzy wrote "Tae-joo and Jeong-in," which are the names of their characters in the movie.  

Bo-gum also shared the photos on his Instagram Stories.

Fans online were quick to react to the photos.

"I'M SO READY FOR WONDERLAND," one fan commented.

"THE CHEMISTRY IS CHEMISTRYING," another fan wrote.

Movie stills from Wonderland were also released on media outlets in Korea much to the excitement of the fans.

According to a report by Naver as translated by Soompi, Wonderland follows the story about a service that lets people talk to their loved ones who have passed away through video calls, using artificial intelligence to bring them back.

Suzy plays the character Jung In, who uses the Wonderland service to recreate her boyfriend Tae Joo (played by Bo-gum), who is bedridden after a bad accident. As Jung In spends her daily life with the AI version of her boyfriend, she feels a mix of happiness, confusion, and longing.

Bo-gum portrays Tae Joo, Jung In's boyfriend, who wakes up from a coma. Bo-gum will be playing two very different versions of Tae Joo: one created by artificial intelligence through the Wonderland service, and the real-life Tae Joo, who feels lost and confused after waking up.

The film is directed by Kim Tae-yong who commended the chemistry of Bo-gum and Suzy.

"The two actors showed great chemistry as they worked together on scenes with consideration and respect for each other," Tae-yong remarked.

It's the first time that Bo-gum and Suzy will be headlining a movie together.

Aside from Suzy and Bo-gum, the film also stars Tang Wei, Jung Yu Mi, and Choi Woo Shik.

The movie will be released in movie theaters on June 5.
