Korean actor Park Bo-gum has a new agency.

On Monday, January 30, YG Entertainment affiliate THEBLACKLABEL announced that Bo-gum has joined their agency.

"We have signed a management contract with Park Bo Gum, who is one of South Korea’s leading actors and who has been receiving the love and trust of the general public while switching back and forth between the small and silver screens," the agency revealed as reported by Naver and translated by Soompi.

The agency remarked that they are looking forward to working with the actor and his myriad of skills and talents.

"We are extremely delighted to be able to work together with actor Park Bo Gum, whose global influence extends beyond Korea," the agency said.

"As actor Park Bo Gum has a wide variety of charms and talents, we will maximize our use of THEBLACKLABEL’s strengths and know-how so that he can deepen his charms in many different fields, including as an actor. We will go all out in our support [of Park Bo Gum] all over the world."

THEBLACKLABEL also responded to speculations of Bo-gum further venturing into the music scene aside from being an actor, now that he is under their management.

The agency clarified: "As this is the start of the contract, we haven’t yet discussed the direction of his promotions."

THEBLACKLABEL is the agency of soloists, actors, and models including BIGBANG’s Taeyang, Jeon Somi, Zion.T., and Lee Jun-young, among others.

The agency was founded by YG producer Teddy and Kush.

Bo-gum made his debut as an actor in 2011.

He further catapulted to fame in Korea after starring in Reply 1988 in 2015 which also became one of the highest rated Korean dramas in cable television history.

In 2016, Bo-gum achieved international recognition after his historical drama Love in the Moonlight became a massive hit in Korea and in other countries.

Bo-gum enlisted in Korea's mandatory military service on August 31, 2020. He was discharged on February 21, 2022.

The actor is set to star in a new drama with singer-actress IU titled You Have Done Well.
