Rosé and Bruno Mars' "APT." has achieved a massive feat on YouTube on the day of its release.

According to Chart Data, "APT." gained the biggest debut for a male-female duet on YouTube this year. It achieved more than 25 million views on YouTube on its first day on the platform.  

The record surpassed the previous record set by Taylor Swift and Post Malone's "Fortnight."

The music video for "APT." was released on YouTube on Friday, October 18.

In an interview with Vogue, Rosé relayed that "APT." is inspired by the Korean drinking game Apartment. The K-Pop star and Bruno decided to keep the Korean pronunciation of apartment, which is apateu or 아파트, to pay homage to the BLACKPINK member's Korean roots.

Rosé first teased her collaboration with Bruno on October 17. "The night I taught bruno how to play a Korean drinking game," she teased at that time.

"APT." was released following the announcement that Rosé will be dropping her debut solo album titled Rosie on December 6.

"With the support of my dear friends and family, my team, and of course my number ones, I am sat here today excited to announce the date of my album release," the singer posted on October 1.

She shared the inspiration behind the title saying: "Rosie - is the name I allow my friends and family to call me. With this album, I hope you all feel that much closer to me. And yes, it’s a full-length album. DEC 6th. #rosie."

In September, Rosé announced that she signed with Atlantic Records for solo music.

On her Instagram page, the K-Pop star announced: "Hi my number ones 👉🏼👈🏼 I am so so excited to announce to you my signing with @atlanticrecords!"

"I know you’ve all waited sooo long for this moment, but I hope you’re READY for what’s in store for the next few months!" she teased. "I CANNOTTT wait for you all to hear everything!! So hang on tight!! Miss you all dearly."
