Rosé released her new single "APT" on Friday, October 18 in collaboration with Bruno Mars.

In an interview with Vogue, Rosé shared that "APT" is inspired by the Korean drinking game Apartment. Rosé and Bruno decided to keep the Korean pronunciation of apartment, which is apateu or 아파트, to pay homage to the BLACKPINK member's Korean roots.

A music video for the track was also dropped on Friday. The video has already gained more than 8 million views as of this writing.

Fans online were quick to express their excitement about Rose's new song.

"She looks so happy and like she had so much fun shooting this, it's genuinely so sweet to see," one fan commented.

"I'm so excited for this collaboration I just KNOW ROSÉ WILL ROCK THIS! Hearing Rosé's vocals are so incredibly lovely. Bruno Mars' voice sounds so good love this collaboration," another fan wrote.

Rosé released the single following her announcement on October 1 that she is set to drop her first solo studio album Rosie on December 6.

"I cannot believe I am finally announcing my first album release to you all. I remember last year as our yearlong tour ended, I found myself in a session out here in Los Angeles. That led on to a year of walking in and out of the studio, writing songs with songwriters and producers I’d met for the first time, trying to figure out the next chapter in my career," she posted upon announcing her studio album.

The singer admitted that there was a time when she felt confused about the next path to pursue but through the help of her loved ones, she was able to persevere.

"I fell asleep many nights feeling confused and lost. But with the support of my dear friends and family, my team, and of course my number ones, I am sat here today excited to announce the date of my album release," she remarked.

The singer highlighted that she has "poured my blood and tears into this album. I cannot wait for you to listen to this little journal of mine."

She also explained the meaning behind the album's name.

"Rosie - is the name I allow my friends and family to call me. With this album, I hope you all feel that much closer to me. And yes, it’s a full length album. DEC 6th. #rosie."
