After starring in her first internationally produced film Take Me To Banaue earlier this year, beauty queen and model Maureen Wroblewitz said she has been busy promoting the independent film to the Pinoys based in the US.

“So right now I’m still focused on Take Me To Banaue because we’re doing a lot of private screenings in the US. So it’s a lot of traveling and bringing the movie to the Filipino community to have a bigger audience.

“But also, how it’s been happening is because it’s an indie movie so we don’t have distribution yet. But the Filipino community in the US are so supportive. It’s like we’re the ones organizing these events because they want to watch the movie, they want to share the story of the movie with their friends.

“When I go back hopefully next month, we’re going to Washington, we’re going to be back in Dallas and I think San Antonio as well and we’re also going to New York and Boston, all over the US because so many people would love to watch it,” she shared during the Levi’s 501 Day celebration event held last May 19 at the Mall of Asia in Pasay city.

Maureen also appreciated the warm reception she has been getting from kababayans abroad.

“You see how supportive the Filipino community is and how they love to share the culture of the Philippines with everybody around them. So I love that. I didn’t expect to have so much support.

Aside from promoting her film, the Levi’s 501 campaign ambassador has also been busy taking part in the activities inside and outside the country.

“I really loved the experience. Actually I had traveled to Manila prior to flying to Bangkok. I was really jetlagged but it was so, so nice being able to wear my Levi’s 501. I matched it and let my playful side out a little bit,” she explained.

“I’ve always been the biggest fan of denim. So I loved it when they said, ‘We want to get you as a campaign ambassador.’ I was so excited because I love Levi’s. I love jeans. Like I’m always wearing double denim, it’s my look,” she admitted.

Currently still single after ending a three-year relationship with singer Juan Karlos Labajo late last year, Maureen reveals why she is not in any hurry to go into another relationship just yet.
