Korean actress Lee Sung-kyung will be heading to Manila this July to meet her Filipino fans.

Events organizer CDM Entertainment announced on Monday, May 15, that Sung-kyung will be coming to the Philippines on July 8.

"Attention to all Lee Sung Kyoung's fans!🌟 We are delighted to announce the highly-anticipated Lee Sung Kyoung Asia Fan Meeting [BE CLOSER] happening in the city near you soon!" the organizer posted.

"Get ready for an unforgettable experience as we bring you closer to the incredibly talented and charismatic Lee Sung Kyoung 💖 2023 LEE SUNG KYOUNG ASIA FAN MEETING [BE CLOSER]🌟 ■ 07.08 - MANILA."

Fans of the Korean star were quick to express their excitement about the fan meeting.

"Omo swagggg bookjo😱😱😍😍 coming back to Manila," one fan said.

"I'll definitely see her!" another fan commented.

Aside from Manila, the actress will be staging her "Be Closer" fan meeting in Tokyo, Taipei, and Seoul this year. 

Sung-kyung started her career in show business as a model in 2008. She made her acting debut in the drama series It's Okay, That's Love in 2014.

She rose to international prominence when she starred in the series Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok-joo along side Nam Joo-hyun in 2016.

She recently headlined the Disney+ series Call It Love.

The actress is currently starring in the third season of Dr. Romantic.

The actress teams up once again with Ahn Hyo-seop in the series.

In a recent interview with Elle Singapore, the actress talked about working again with Hyo-seop for the series after a three-year break.

"We now understand each other’s personality and preferences better and don’t have that strict boundary we used to have. Back when we didn’t know each other very well, we were naturally a bit cautious around each other, but now, we are comfortable around each other, which is probably why it has become easier to portray a three-year-old couple," she said.
