Superstar Nora Aunor recounted the many miracles that she has experienced in her life.

In an interview with Boy Abunda, the singer-actress recounted how a cosmetic surgery in 2010 went horribly wrong and she ended up with damaged vocal cords.

She didn’t go into much detail, except that she regretted wasting time getting an operation that could have restored her voice.

Nora also revealed that she actually died recently.

“Hindi ko alam kung pwede kong sabihin—kasi namatay na ako ng three minutes nitong nakaraan lang,” she shared.

She was in an out of the hospital at the time. Nora suffered from low oxygen levels, which prompted her to ask that she be rushed to the hospital.

However, no one assisted her nor had the urgency to give her the oxygen she said she needed.

Nora said that she technically died for three minutes, and she considered it a miracle that she was still able to get her life back and regain consciousness in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).

The Superstar revealed that it wasn’t her first near-death experience.

She shared that she figured in a car accident was back in 1982, incidentally while filming Himala, one of her iconic films.

“Naghead-on, ako ‘yung nagda-drive,” she recalled.

It was so bad that even her colleagues doubted that she would be able to survive it.

While the car was a wreck, Nora miraculously escaped the worst of it.

She didn’t even feel anything more than a bump on the head.

“Wala talaga, wala akong naramdamang sakit,” she said.

After such near brushes with death, Nora is in agreement with her friends that she still has a mission to fulfill on this earth.

In the same interview, Nora commented on the misunderstanding between her and daughter Matet De Leon over their gourmet tuyo business.

It can be recalled that the two were in a feud over it a couple of months ago, and Matet aired her sentiments about feeling blindsided that her mom set up a business similar to hers.

Nevertheless, the issue soon died down. Matet and Nora patched things up and reconciled. In her vlog, Matet shared that it was Nora who reached out, though even prior to that she already wanted to patch things up as well. Matet also admitted to her shortcomings and realized that she didn’t want to harbor ill feelings towards her mother any longer.

“Who am I not to say yes to that and (not) to agree with her? Ang Diyos nga nagpapatawad,” said Matet.

Nora shared that it was just a misunderstanding, and that all is now well between her and her children.
