Cassy Legaspi joined the family of her rumored boyfriend Darren Espanto in celebrating the birthday of the Kapamilya singer's sister Lynelle Anne in Japan. 

On Instagram, Darren shared photos of himself with Cassy and his family while at Tokyo DisneySea to celebrate his sister’s milestone birthday. In his post, the singer shared his brief but sweet message for Lynelle, who turned 13 years old on Saturday, February 18. 

“Celebrating Lynelle’s 13th at the happiest place on Earth! Happy 13th Birthday, Nenen! I can’t believe you’re a teen now. Kuya loves you so much," Darren wrote in his post. 

Meanwhile, Cassy also shared on Instagram snaps of her visit to teamLab Planets in Tokyo with Darren and his sister.

Last August, Darren and Cassy also fueled dating rumors after they were seen together during a beach getaway in Batangas. Cassy confirmed the trip and said it was their first time going out of town together. 

“Masaya naman siya. We've been wanting to go out of town for so long. Tapos finally, our schedules were swak. So, OK, let's go! So we went,” she said.

During an interview on Magandang Buhay in 2022, Darren talked about the nature of his relationship with Cassy when asked whether they are already an item. 

“Kami po ni Cassy, we are very close. Best friends po kami so lahat talaga alam namin tungkol sa isa't isa. At pati ang families namin ay parang sanay na parati kaming magkasama or lumalabas. Pero we aren't taking anything serious din naman na masyado,” he said. 

He also expressed gratitude for the trust and hospitality shown to him by Cassy’s parents, Zoren Legaspi and Carmina Villaroel, whenever he visits their home. 

“Grabe 'yung hospitality po ng mga Legaspi talaga. Every time I am there, Tita Mina is always asking kasi 'pinakain mo na ba si Darren?' And even Tito Zoren is like 'oh that's your guest take care of him,' mga ganoon. So it's very funny," Darren told CinemaNews.

"And I am always very grateful po kasi they trust me enough, allow me to go there kahit minsan sobrang last minute, walang paalam po sa kanila. You know just being able to hang out with Cassy outside of their house, stuff like that. Siyempre iba po kapag may daughter ka, the tendency is to kind of 'guard' her more or have more restrictions. Pero I am glad that Tita Mina and Tito Zoren trust me naman po," he added.

As of writing, both Darren and Cassy still have yet to confirm being in a romantic relationship.
