Juan Karlos has added another feather to his cap — this time for his latest single "Ere."

According to music charts platform Chart Data on Sunday, October 8, "Ere" became the first Filipino song to debut on the Spotify Global chart.

It landed on the No. 177 spot with 1.22 million streams, according to the report.

Fans were quick to extend their congratulatory messages to Juan Karlos after achieving this new feat in his career.

"Congratulations Lods! Proud of you!" one fan commented.

"That's a great feat. Congratulations!" another fan wrote.

Meanwhile, Chart Data PH reported on Monday, October 9, that Juan Karlos broke the all-time record for the biggest single-day streams for any track in Spotify Philippines charts history with 1.393 million streams.

"Ere" surpassed the previous record held by Taylor Swift's "Mine (Taylor's Version)."

Prior to making its debut on the Spotify Global Chart, "Ere" has been going viral online.

In an interview with CNN Philippines recently, the singer was asked how he feels that "Ere" has hit big online.

He said: "Honestly, I don't know. Actually, I'm surprised that it's doing well because when I write stuff like that, I don't have any expectations."

"Ere" is one of the tracks off Juan Karlos' latest album Sad Songs and Bullsh*t Part 1.

Juan Karlos came up with the album as he went through a breakup.

"I've gone through [it], everybody goes through it, and parang for me it so happened na I write music and it became parang word vomiting, putting melodies in all these emotions that I had at that time," he told CNN Philippines.

He added: "That's why it's called Sad Songs and the b-word because the sad songs came after the breakup but then like I had so many love songs I wrote after our relationship ended. It really didn't make sense."

JK also shared that he decided to put out the first part of the album as he was able to write 18 songs for the record. So, he chose to release the first half first.

"Because 18 songs are way too many songs to put in one album, that's why we kinda decided that we release the first half now and then 'cause at the same time my schedule is kinda crazy. So we also don't have enough time to be able to finally finish the second part," he remarked.
