Andre Yllana, the son of Aiko Melendez and Jomari Yllana, is celebrating his birthday this Wednesday, September 7.

On Instagram, Aiko shared her heartwarming birthday message for her son as he turned 24.

“I know by looking at you that God has blessed me in ways that years ago I never would have believed. 24 na my Baby Boy. You are an adult to the world and that is how it should be, but in my heart and in my eyes you will always be my baby bubut,” the actress wrote.

“Happy Birthday son. Your sister @jickainmarthena and your tito @cong_jaykhonghun love you so much!!! And mama will always be your number 1 fan. Always rooting for you. I know your time will come and you will shine the brightest for Jesus,” she added.

Andre, the only child of Aiko and Jomari together, signed an exclusive contract with Viva Artists Agency last year. Aside from Andre, Aiko also has a daughter, Marthena, with her former husband Martin Jickain.

Recently, Andre made headlines after he appeared on Aiko’s vlog and opened up about his strained relationship with his father.

“Dad, kung napapanood mo ‘to — hindi ko pa nasasabi sa’yo to pero minsan kasi may mga bagay na too late na. Siguro ‘yung thirst ko for a father dati, hindi na rin ganun. Kung dati, grabe ako maghabol kay dad, siguro nasanay na rin ako na parang wala s’ya,” said Andre.

He also admitted that he struggled with his mental health because of his family’s situation growing up.

“Na-depress ako nang sobra-sobra. Kasi akala ko kaya ko kimkimin lahat. ‘Yun pala may hangganan ‘yung tao. Kahit na gaano ka pa kalakas, ‘pag sinapol ka talaga, wala durog ka talaga,” he said.

Sharing his message for Jomari, Andre said: “Kahit ano namang mangyari, I’ll always still be here for you through thick and thin. Kaso nga lang 'yun like I said, may mga bagay na hindi na kasing init dati.”

"Sana ‘yung mistake mo dati sa akin ‘wag mo nang ulitin sa mga kapatid ko dahil bata pa sila. So habang bata pa sila go for it. 'Yun ang message ko sa iyo dad,” he added.
