Sandara Park surprised her Filipino fans when she performed at the 2022 K-Ppop Masterz in Manila concert at the Mall of Asia Arena on Friday, July 29.

According to Sandara, she came to the Philippines with the intention of supporting GOT7's BamBam, saying that singing on stage was not part of her initial plans.

"Grabe~!!! 😱 What a totally unexpected day todayyy~!!! Came here to support my dear brother @bambam1a and I ended up performing on stage 🤣 nag enjoy ba kayo?! Sana nag enjoy kayo!!! Thank you Bambam~!!!" she posted on her Twitter page on Friday after the show.

The Korean star performed "I Don't Care" alongside BamBam at the concert, much to the delight of her fans.

"Actually, hindi talaga ako special guest sa show came here just to support and watch lang talaga dapat. Kaya wala ako dalang damit pang stage. uro beach wear lang dala ko ahahaha," the K-Pop star said.

Sandara remarked that she really enjoyed performing again for her Filipino fans.

"I had so much fun!!!😭👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 nakakamiss noh… sana makabakik ulit ako," she posted.

Filipino fans were quick to reply to Sandara's social media posts and remarked that they were elated to see the singer on the Philippine stage again.

"Soooobrang enjoooy! Seeing you on stage + singing I don't care waaahhhh!!! Sulit na sulit ang bayad sa ticket!! #2NE1Forver #Blackjacks! THANK YOU @BamBam1A & @krungy21," one fan commented.

The former 2NE1 member also shared that her trip to the Philippines was also a spontaneous one.

"Hindi talaga ito planned. Kaya sabi ko d ako makapunta dito🤣🤣🤣 pero biglaan lang, pinayagan ako umalis so sumama ako ehehehe," she remarked.

She continued: "And dalawa lang dala kong long pants, puro shorts talaga dala ko, and ayoko naman magsuot ng beachewear sa stage kaya pinili ko 'yung black mini dress na dala ko hahaha."

Sandara also shared her backstage snapshots at the concert including a photo of her with K-Pop group Treasure who also performed at the concert.

"With my baby brothers 👶🏻 #Treasure 💎 in #Manila mabuhay~!!!" she said.

She also shared that she ate a Jollibee meal while in the Philippines.

"Grabe…. Sarap….🤤🤤🤤 hindi ako small eater pag nandito ako sa Phil," she quipped upon sharing a snapshot of her order from the fast food chain.

Prior to pursuing a music career in Korea, Sandara was part of Star Magic.

She rose to popularity in the Philippines when she became a runner-up of the talent search competition Star Circle Quest in 2004. She appeared in several ABS-CBN programs and starred in blockbuster hit movies in the country.

She returned to South Korea in 2007 and signed a contract with YG Entertainment. She pursued a career in the Korean entertainment industry as part of the K-Pop group 2NE1.

Sandara debuted with the group in 2009, producing several massive hits including "Fire," "I Don't Care," and "I Am The Best." The group disbanded in 2016.

Last May 2021, Sandara announced her departure from YG Entertainment.

In September 2021, it was announced that she inked a contract with ABYSS Company, the same company that BamBam also joined in the same year.

Sandara and her fellow 2NE1 members had a reunion last April at Coachella when they performed in the finale of CL's set at the music festival. They performed their hit song "I Am The Best."
