Ever since actor Elijah Canlas greeted Miles Ocampo earlier this month, fans of the two have been speculating about the real deal between them, leading Elijah to break his silence after several weeks.

In an exclusive interview with entertainment reporter Ogie Diaz last Friday, May 27, Elijah confirmed that they have been seeing each other for about a year already.

During the interview for the second season of the hit BL series Gameboys, Ogie asked Elijah and fellow lead actor Kokoy de Santos some personal questions which the two were very much game to answer.

“Sa tunay na buhay, [kayo] ay may kanya kanyang partner, may mga girlfriends na ba kayo?,” Ogie asked the two.

Instead of answering the question, Kokoy just smiled and looked at his on-screen partner who was confident and brave enough to answer the question. Elijah made a nod as his answer.then Ogie pressed the actor to give more details, specifically whether or not the dating rumors between him and Miles were true.

“Opo, kami na. I mean she’s the best. We’re in a good place, we’re very happy,” he answered with a smile. Elijah also realized that this was the first time that he admitted his relationship with the actress.

Elijah added that this was his first time to open up about their relationship since both of them initially wanted to keep things private. He didn’t mention any specific date as to when they started seeing each other though he revealed that it started last year.

“It’s my life, it’s our lives. We don’t have to share everything that we do or paano kami nagsimula or whatever. I think the fans and our supporters would also appreciate the fact that we’re happy and we’re really in a good place,” he explained.

Miles and Elijah worked together back in 2020 in TV5’s drama series, Paano ang Pangako. They also had the chance to work again in the music video of local group Over October’s single “Sandali Lang” last October 2021.
