After a more than two-year hiatus from the showbiz industry, Anne Curtis gave an opening performance to mark her return as a host on long-time variety show It’s Showtime this Saturday, May 28. Anne performed Ariana Grande’s song, “Break Free,” and felt like she was still a bit rusty.

Addressing the madlang pipol, Anne apologized for her performance and asked for a second take in the opening production.

I'm still rusty. Rusty ako ngayon, yung performance ko ngayon. Parang it will take a while again to get back into the groove. Kaya pagpasensyahan niyo na po madlang pipol,” she added.

Vhong Navarro, Vice Ganda, and Karylle, who were all part of the original lineup of the show, welcomed the actress back with open arms with a special message for her.

Vhong, shared what he missed the most from Anne. “Na miss ko yung pagiging makulit, ’yung pagiging sosyal niya. Na miss namin yung ganda at sexy ni Anne,” he shared.

Anne was supposed to come back to the noontime show after her daughter, Dahlia turned one. However due to the pandemic and other factors, she decided to extend her break from showbiz.

Grabe na miss ko kayong lahat. It's a new experience. I'm just so happy to be here again, guys. It's been so long,” Anne added.

Vice Ganda and Anne’s sibling chemistry were very evident in the segments even after a long break. The viewers were ecstatic about Anne’s return and commented under the hashtag, #ANNEditonasashowtime.

After the show, Anne posted on her Instagram her gratitude to her followers for the support they’ve given her all throughout the years. According to her, she made sure that she kept her promise that she would come back.

Meanwhile, Anne is preparing for her comeback concert, LuvANNE, which will be held in Resorts World Manila on June 11, 2022.
