After airing their pilot episode last May 16, Monday, Daniel Padilla and Kathryn Bernardo’s latest romantic drama series 2 Good 2 Be True immediately became the leading TV series on Netflix Philippines. The series' pilot episode also drew more than 130,000 concurrent viewers on ABS-CBN Entertainment's YouTube channel.

"Super thankful on how they wholeheartedly loved the series because we really worked hard for it," said Kathryn in the special gap show of the series on Kapamilya Online Live.

The popular love team known as Kathniel first worked together on the teen series Growing Up followed by the teleserye Princess and I in 2012 before doing a string of successful films like She’s Dating the Gangster, Crazy, Beautiful You, Barcelona, and The Hows of Us, the latter making it to become one of the top blockbuster films in Philippine cinema history.

In 2 Good 2 Be True, DJ takes on the role of well-loved neighborhood mechanic Eloy while Kathryn plays the hardworking and determined nurse named Ali. Both want to create a better life for themselves and their families despite traumatic incidents in their past.

The show has already received praises online from netizens who were quick to post their reviews on social media to commend the stars’ performances, RGE Unit’s production quality, and the series’ stunning cinematography.

2 Good 2 Be True also made it to the top trending list on Twitter Philippines. Posts on the social media platform also echoed what fans had to say about the show under topics like #2GoodAtFirstSight, ALI x ELOY UP EVERYWHERE, Kathryn Bernardo, and KathNiel.
