South Korean actress and professional model Jung Ho-Yeon, who played the role of Kang Sae-byeok in the Netflix hit series Squid Game, expressed how proud she is for having “such caring and loving” Filipino fans.

Sending my biggest hugs to you. I am always proud that I have such caring and loving fans from the Philippines! Take care and stay healthy everyone. Fighting!” she said in a press release sent to PUSH for what is described to be her first brand endorsement in the Philippines.

On Friday, March 25, the South Korean star was announced as the first-ever global brand ambassador of IAM Worldwide, a multi-level marketing company in the country.

Truly, IAM Worldwide is grateful because it’s Ho-Yeon’s very first time to endorse a company and brand that’s proudly Filipino. And if you ask her, she can’t wait to bring happiness to her growing hardcore fans and supporters here in the country. She hopes to visit the Philippines soon and is very thankful to all the love she’s getting on social media coming from Filipinos,” the press release added.

Meanwhile, company president and founder Allen Marvin Yu Eder said, “Ms. Jung Ho-Yeon is definitely the exceptional choice as the new face of the company and our products. She’s now a powerhouse celebrity known globally and really connects well with the youth. She’s a glamorous ace for IAM Worldwide.”

With more than 23.7 million followers on Instagram, Jung Ho-Yeon has received recognition for her acting debut performance in the phenomenal Korean series Squid Game, which premiered last year. Just recently, she made headlines after winning Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Drama Series at the prestigious Screen Actor Guild Awards or SAG Awards.

It seems like the fans could not get enough of Jung Ho-Yeon’s character in the said show that the director talked about the possibility of bringing the actress back for its second season.

In an interview with Deadline at the Producers Guild of America Awards, Squid Game director Hwang Dong-hyuk shared that he might bring Ho-yeon back to the show, "Let’s say maybe she has a twin sister, you’ll see.”

To which Jung Ho-yeon replied, “I could change my hair color. Let’s do a little like plastic surgery."

Aside from this, a report from Variety revealed that the actress is slated to star in the upcoming Apple TV+ series Disclaimer alongside Cate Blanchett and Kevin Kline.
