In an Instagram post, the 32-year-old actor said knowing his grandmother had to endure battling cancer for the past two years has been particularly tough for him.

Xian made the post as his grandmother marked her 87th birthday.

“The past two years were tough for @mommymaryanne and I. Lolo's daily visit to the doctor and finding out Lola has breast cancer. It's devastating. It sucks,” Xian wrote in the caption of his post.

Xian went on to say that like other people who go through trials in life, he couldn’t help but question why he had to go through it.

Xian is full of hope now that his grandmother is “doing better” and back to doing the things she loves doing — even if they sometimes tell her to slow down.
