Although they only went public with their relationship in 2019, rumors of Maureen Wrob dating singer Juan Karlos Labajo (formerly known as JK Labajo) started as early as 2017. Maureen, who recently signed up with the Star Magic family, shared the secret to her steady relationship with the former The Voice Kids singer during the first Star Magic Black Pen Media Con.

“It is really communication. He knows everything about me and I feel really comfortable in telling him everything. Communication and trust is really important,” she said.

The couple, who have mostly kept details of their relationship to a minimum even on social media, first got close as friends in 2017 and  are both half Filipino and half German. When asked if she would consider acting in a project with her boyfriend in the future, Maureen easily agreed.

“Yes, if he decides to do acting again. Of course. I’d love to,” she said. Juan Karlos was last seen in ABS-CBN primetime teleseryes like A Love to Last and Pangako Sa ‘Yo.

During her launch as a new Star Magic artist, Maureen revealed plans to join a beauty pageant in the future although the 23-year-old says it will not be happening this year.
