Kaori Oinuma celebrated her 21st birthday with her onscreen partner Rhys Miguel on Thursday, July 22.
The actress posted on Instagram photos showing how she celebrated her special day, including one where she and Rhys are seen posing at a gasoline station, notably with a billboard showing them in the background. Another shows the two getting cozy during Kaori's birthday celebration at home.
"Blessed to see another year," Kaori wrote in the caption of her post.
Rhys also shared a photo of their celebration on his Instagram page, as he greeted Kaori a happy birthday.
"Happy birthday Kao!" he said.
In the comments section of his post, Kaori simply said: "eyy thank yoü (heart emoji)".
Meanwhile, in his video greeting for Kaori that was uploaded by a fan page dedicated to their love team, Rhys said he is extremely proud of the actress and everything that she has achieved so far in her career, including those that they have accomplished together.
"Hey KaoKao. I just want to say happy birthday to you. Happy 21st birthday. Alam ko na feeling mo hindi ka pa 21, pero 21 ka na. Big girl ka na," he said in the video.
"I'm super proud of you and everything that you've done, and that we've done together. Sana mas malayo pa 'yung [marating] natin together. Yeah, just wanted to say happy, happy birthday. ... Sana nagustuhan mo 'yung gift na binigay ko sa 'yo. Alagaan mo siya nang mabuti."
It can be recalled that for her 20th birthday last year, Kaori received a Polaroid camera from Rhys despite him being far away due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Kaori and Rhys met during their stint as housemates on the reality show Pinoy Big Brother: Otso.
Last year, the two were paired in Star Cinema’s first "lovecast" series The Four Bad Boys and Me. Currently, they are seen in the ABS-CBN romance series He's Into Her, which stars the onscreen tandem of Donny Pangilinan and Belle Mariano.
Kaori and Rhys are set to topbill Love At First Stream, their first movie together which will also star Daniela Stranner and Anthony Jennings. The Star Cinema and Kumu production will be helmed by One More Chance and A Very Special Love director Cathy-Garcia Molina. A target release date for the film has yet to be announced.
