Julia Montes is not one who speaks openly about her love life but in a rare interview, the actress admitted that she is in love right now.
“Actually, hindi ko kasi siya sasabihing secret. We just chose this path kasi we both believe na, ‘Ang atin, atin. Pumasok tayo sa trabahong ‘to na magulo. ‘Wag na nating paguluhin pati ‘yung atin,'" Julia said in an interview with G3 San Diego for Mega Entertainment's latest issue, released this Thursday, July 1.
"There’s nobody…It’s just a personal choice. Personal choice namin ‘yun. And for us kasi talaga, naniniwala kami ‘pag ano kasing nandiyan, sisirain. ‘Pag hindi kayo, ‘pag magka-love team kayo, gustong maging kayo. ‘Pag kayo, pagsisirain kayo. So, might as well, ‘O, anong alam niyo?’ Okay, kung anong alam niyo, okay po. ‘Yun na lang,” she added.
Julia, 26, has been consistently linked to actor Coco Martin, 39, since they first worked together in the 2012 drama series Walang Hanggan.
The two have neither confirmed nor denied the issue, although Julia would occasionally post about Coco on her Instagram account, either to greet him on his birthday or show support for his movie projects.
Just last March, the rumored couple also made headlines after photos of them together in Boracay went viral online.
When asked in her Mega interview why she personally wants to stay silent about her love, Julia stressed that she has been an open book all her life.
This time, gusto ko ‘yung akin, akin," she said.
She also said that she didn't want pressure from other people when it came to her love life, as she got candid about the pressure of growing up in the spotlight.
And that’s my point of view na parang ‘wag na natin stress-in ‘yung sarili natin sa labas. Ito ‘yung atin so let’s just be happy and enjoy," she added.
According to Julia, it was through her current relationship that she has learned to be more expressive and open.
Mas expressive ako sa mga bagay na emotions, especially when it comes to the aspect of love –’yung, ‘I miss you,’ ‘I love you,’ ‘yung hindi na ako nahihiya to take care of somebody. So, ang laki ng difference,” she said.
Meanwhile, when asked what would be her answer if the one she loves proposes to her tomorrow, Julia exclaimed: “Yes, of course!”
“I will not protect it naman if hindi,” she added.
