Having been in a relationship with his girlfriend Maiqui Pineda for quite some time now, Robi Domingo appears to be more than ready to settle down with her. But according to the Kapamilya TV personality, there are some things he is still considering before he moves on to the next chapter of his life.

In an interview with Enchong Dee, Robi Domingo answered a number of questions about his personal life including a few about his love life.

While Robi has always been seemingly lighthearted in his interviews, the TV host was asked questions that received serious answers from him.

“I’m sure na we all know Robi Domingo as the entertaining and fun host on TV pero this time, ibang side naman niya ang makikilala natin. ‘Yung Robi na behind the scenes, still very entertaining but full of substance and great insights,” Enchong said.

One of the last questions asked was how would he know if a person is ready to move on to the next chapter of his life.

Robi said the question is familiar to him because he often asks the same question during weddings.

“Tinanong ko din ‘yan. Having that privilege of hosting weddings, lagi kong tinatanong doon sa groom, ‘How did you know?’ ‘How do you know you’re ready?’ Tapos sabi lang nila, ‘I just know’ and some people would have to say ‘Mahal ko eh. Mahal ko siya.’ Wala eh. In the moment, kelangan mong gawin ‘yun,” he said.

Unlike answers he gets where people mostly share “in the moment” responses, Robi said it takes a different kind of maturity for him.

According to Robi, he would be more than willing to bend the knee once he knows he’s ready to provide everything his future wife needs including a home and a good environment.

“Pero ako, siguro ibang klaseng maturity, I guess? Na dapat handa ka na mahalin siya hindi lang ngayon, kundi handa kang mahalin siya bukas at magpakailanpaman. At mamahalin mo siya, hindi lang sa emosyon ha pero kailangan mo siyang mahalin sa pamamagitan ng pagpa-provide ng magandang tahanan, ng magandang pagkain, at ng magandang environment,” he said.

“At hindi lang ‘yun. Kung mahal mo siya, mamahalin mo din ang magiging future niyong dalawa. ‘Yun para sa akin ang tunay na pagmamahal. ‘Pag kaya kong buhayin siya at ilagay siya sa magandang environment at safe ako at guarded ako pati ang pamilya ko okay na rin, then I’m ready to bend the knee,” he added.
