Kapamilya star Heaven Peralejo chronicled her battle with COVID-19 in a vlog released on Saturday, April 10.
“I don’t know what to do, I don’t know what’s going to happen,” Heaven said in the 19-minute vlog.
It appears she found out she tested positive for COVID-19 while staying at a hotel for the lock-in taping for the Kapamilya serye Bagong Umaga.
“We’re here now at the Bagong Umaga taping. Hindi ko alam ano ang nangyayari sa iba. I don’t know what’s happening. Naka-quarantine din kami so the time na nag-pause ang production, lahat kami naka-quarantine na. Lahat kami nasa kanya-kanyang room. Hindi pa rin lumalabas lahat ng resulta,” she stated.
“It felt so surreal. I can’t imagine I don’t know if my ready to share this with you guys. It’s too personal,” Heaven said as she shared how she felt upon finding out she got infected with the disease.
“One of the toughest challenges I have dealt with during this pandemic is personally getting tested positive for coronavirus,” she stated.
While she managed to isolate at home for the first few days, Heaven eventually had to go to the hospital as per her doctor’s advice due to low oxygen level.
“After consulting with my doctor and talking to my family, we have decided to go to the hospital. Thankfully, we found a hospital and ABS-CBN provided us with an ambulance,” she said.

According to Heaven, she decided to release the vlog documenting her experience with the disease to help others going through the same situation cope with it.
Although Heaven has yet to release the second part of her vlog, she made it clear that she is now a survivor.
“I am now a COVID-19 survivor. Sending my love & prayers to everybody going through these difficult times,” Heaven said.
