As part of a special musical event this month called Salubong: The Christmas Concert, urban/hip-hop star CLR (real name Chester Lalinjaman Romo) is happy to be one of the headlining artists along with rock quartet Sponge Cola, the legendary Aegis band, and breakthrough spoken word artist Martin Naling. The one-of-a-kind Christmas concert brings together these top OPM artists from different musical genres and will be available for streaming via KTX.ph on December 10 and December 11.

Known for his hit songs like “Ba’t Ngayon?” and “P’s Song”, as well as collaborations with various Pinoy rappers and artists like Jay-R, and Angela Ken, CLR shared during the Salubong mediacon event that he has made sure to keep himself productive even during the lockdown period in the country starting last year.

Thank you sa budget (laughs),” he admitted.

At the Salubong: The Christmas Concert mediacon, the Cebuano artist revealed one of the most challenging times in his career was when he was not given the chance to showcase his talent on platforms like The Voice Philippines. CLR admitted that it was definitely a painful moment for him.

The Voice Philippines dinisregard ako. Kung may makikinig eh di good, kung wala eh di move on,” he explained.

As a special gift for his fans this month, CLR revealed what’s in store for them as they usher in the New Year.

So sasalubungin nung EP nung video sa January 1 so excited din ako dun,” he added.

Salubong: The Christmas Concert is by MG Philippines, in cooperation with Praxis and The Filipino Channel (TFC.) Salubong is staged with top-notch technical production at ABS-CBN’s ASAP Studio 10, and the program is conceptualized by the best Filipino musical production minds under director Paul Alexei Basinillo.
