The first three of the ten celebrities who will be part of the 10th season of the hit ABS-CBN reality show Pinoy Big Brother (PBB) have been revealed.

They are volleyball star Alyssa Valdez, Star Magic artist and singer KD Estrada, and social media star Madam Inutz, whose real name is Daisy Lopez Cabantog.

Dubbed the "Heartstrong Phenom of Batangas", Alyssa, 28, became famous as a UAAP Volleyball player for Ateneo De Manila University. She was the Team Captain and UAAP Most Valuable Player for Ateneo Women’s Volleyball. She was also part of the National Women’s Volleyball Team and competed in the Southeast Asian Games and FIVB Volleyball Women’s World Championship qualification. Currently, Alyssa is a Professional Volleyball player for the team Creamline Cool Smashers.

KD, 19, who is dubbed the "Musical Wonder Boy of Paranaque", is a member of The Squad Plus and ASAP Natin ‘To’s New Breed of Singers. He started as a Star Magic trainee and has released 3 solo singles since 2019. A self-taught musician, singer, and songwriter since 2016, KD practices through YouTube videos. He previously recorded a Mandarin version of Moira Dela Torre’s “Mabagal” with Singaporean artist Haven. Most of his songs are about love and some were inspired by his own experiences.

Meanwhile, Madam Inutz, 37, is "Ang Mama-bentang Live Seller ng Cavite." From being an online live seller, she is now a social media star, content creator, and endorser. She rose to fame because of her viral live selling videos on Facebook where she candidly dances, jokes around, and talks to her viewers, even cursing them because of the lack of “miners” (takers of her merchandise),  and her expression “Ojiiivaaa?!” became an instant hit. Currently, she has more than 2 million "likes" on her Facebook page,  280,000 followers on Instagram, and 816,000 subscribers on her YouTube channel. She recently became a recording artist and released her single “Inutil” last September.

Dubbed the Pinoy Big Brother Kumunity Season 10, the newest season of PBB will feature three editions, beginning with the celebrity edition, followed by the adults, and finally the teens.

Earlier, ABS-CBN executive Laurenti Dyogi said they didn't do a cattle call for the celebrity audition. Rather, they invited the ones they feel will be "good" celebrity housemates.

He added that the process for the celebrity edition differs from those of the teen and adults editions. For the whole month of September, the PBB team held an audition for the adults edition, which was open to ages 20 to 40.

Meanwhile, auditions for the teen audition, which is open to ages 15 to 19, will run from December 1 to 31.

Those who want to become a PBB housemate only need to download the Kumu app, create an account and upload a minute-long clip about themselves and why they deserve to be housemate. They also have to use the hashtag #PBBKumuAdults.

According to Dyogi, while launching a show amid the COVID-19 pandemic entails a lot of challenges, the chance to do another season of PBB was hard to pass up.

“And, of course, sa sambayanan din naman, excited to have another season of 'PBB.' We knew that Connect wouldn’t be the last season. We didn’t know when exactly will be the next season. But a blessing ay kumatok na kung puwede ay magkaroon ulit ng isa pang season in partnership with Kumu so we grabbed it,” he said.

He also explained why viewers continue to watch "PBB" despite already having a total of 16 seasons.

“Every season is a new experience sa ating mga viewers. We try to refresh it every season. Iba 'yung dynamics. I suppose it’s also because of the mix of housemates that we bring into the house, it gives a different feel. Kaya critical sa amin lagi 'yung casting. Casting is a very important element of the show. If you fail in casting, whatever we do, it will not work. It’s a good casting that’s the main ingredient for this kind of program,” he said.

He added that PBB is not just an entertainment program, but "meron din namang mga aral na natututunan ang ating mga manonood. Natutuwa nga kami na generations of generations of viewers, 'yung dating mga bata pa, sila na ngayon yung nag-a-audition for adults."

As of this writing, ABS-CBN has yet to announce when the Pinoy Big Brother Kumunity Season 10 will begin.
