After opening his very first business venture in 2019 with The Th3rd Floor gym located near ABS-CBN, actor Gerald Anderson put up another branch which he just opened this month. In his latest vlog, Gerald gave a tour inside the The Th3rd Floor park which is also located in the Quezon City area.

The Kapamilya actor also shared that the look and layout of the gym was inspired by the famous Rucker Park in Harlem, New York which was also the training ground for a lot of NBA superstars. Gerald also shared photos of the gym’s construction process in his Instagram account.

He wrote, “’The Goal is not to be better than other men, but your previous self’ - The Th3rd Floor is a place to get better. Watch The Official Tour of The Park on my YouTube Channel.”

In his latest vlog, the 32-year-old actor proudly showcased how he dedicated the areas inside the gym to his three major idols in basketball—NBA players LeBron James, Michael Jordan, and Kobe Bryant.

“Kaya siya The Th3rd Floor park kasi ginawa naming ganito itsura ng court, para siyang Rucker Park in New York or sa mga park sa States an parang ganito yung itsura. So this is why it’s called The Th3rd Floor Park. I call this the LeBron court obviously kasi andito yung mural ni LeBron. This is the Jordan court. He’s one of the greatest. So habang naglalaro siyempre dapat after the game puwede mag-selfie and it’s something na puwede puntahan ng tao. You come to play. You tap your inner Jordan or LeBron habang naglalaro. Hindi naman dapat professional tayo or tayo ang pinakamagaling but you get that feeling of community here. And you get that feeling na parang ma-i-inspire ka pagtapak mo pa lang sa court. Hindi naman lahat tayo 6’6” or 6’8” but we can always aspire to be the best basketball player or yung fitness natin and just be a better person overall. Naniniwala ako na this happens in the gym,” he said.

As one of the people who was deeply saddened by basketball star Kobe Bryant’s sudden passing on January 26, 2020 in a helicopter crash, Gerald immortalized his idol with a mural that he hopes will also inspire his gym clients while they are working out.

“Habang nag-wo-work out makikita yung pinaka-idol natin na si Kobe. I put ‘Kobe is Watching’ because Kobe is one of the best workers sa NBA before and he doesn’t make excuses. Madami rin siyang pinagdaanan sa buhay niya, ups and downs, but he would always find a way. Pag nag-wo-workout yun yung gusto ko rin maalala ng clients habang nag-wo-workout na dahil Kobe is watching, let’s always give our best,” he explained.

During his gym tour video, Gerald also revealed his favorite area in the former warehouse that he converted into an indoor fitness park.

“Dati siyang warehouse so itong second floor wala siya dati, pinagawa ko lang ito. Dati open space lang siya. Pero pinlagyan ko ng second floor for our cardio area. For the elliptical machines and the treadmills. I think this is the best view of the whole gym. You can see the whole place from here while working out. Isa ito sa mga favorite places ko of the gym. I can’t wait for the opening and sana matapos na rin itong pandemic so everyone can go back to their normal lives. Go back to work and makapaghanap buhay para sa mga families natin. I’m praying for everyone but I also believe to fight this virus and stay healthy. The best way is also to work out and stay active. I’m praying for everyone so sana when everything is okay puwede na dumalaw kayo dito sa The Th3rd Floor park,” he added.

After officially launching The Th3rd Floor park online, Gerald’s girlfriend Julia Barretto shared her own message of support by commenting on his post.

She wrote, “Always turning your visions into reality. You are the most driven [and] hardworking person I know and I am inspired by you every day. Congratulations on @theth3rdfloor Park.”
