Francis "Chiz" Escudero said he will not interfere with his wife Heart Evangelista's acting and fashion career, so long as he is sure that she is physically and emotionally in good shape.

The Sorsogon Governor and senatorial aspirant made this statement during a game of "Never Have I Ever" with his wife, as part of Heart's latest vlog on YouTube, released over the weekend.

One of the questions Heart asked her husband was if he would ever think of asking her to slow down with her career.

"Probably if you're sick, or weak, or going through something. I would, so that you can recover faster," answered Chiz.

"But other than that I can continue to do what I want for the rest of my life?" Heart again asked.

"Unless I need you [for something]," said Chiz, without explaining further.

After getting married to Chiz, Heart continued being an actress and visual media artist. She also pursued a career in fashion, until eventually, she shot to global fame after she was dubbed a "Real Crazy Rich Asian" by Crazy Rich Asians author Kevin Kwan in a special feature for Harper's Bazaar US in 2018.

Meanwhile, another question Heart asked her husband was if he has ever thought of giving up on her.

"No, not my personality to do so," said Chiz.

"Me, I actually, not naman broke up with him pero that was the plan," Heart admitted. "I was supposed to break up with him because I always do that with my ex-boyfriends whenever things were getting really bad with my parents. Because I felt like I was a curse because I knew what was going to happen next. But yeah, I did."

When she and Chiz tied the knot at the Balesin Island Club in February 2015, neither of Heart's parents, Cecile and Rey, was present. Both Ongpaucos had publicly disapproved of the Sorsogon Governor for their daughter over his supposedly being disrespectful and an alcoholic.

Nevertheless, they eventually got on good terms with Chiz, with Heart's mother even publicly showing support for their marriage in a vlog last June.

Meanwhile, when it was Chiz's turn, the senatorial aspirant asked his wife if she has ever been jealous of someone he works with.

"Never. Actually no, I'm not this selos type. When I was younger, I was very jealous especially because I was, you know, with a lot of showbiz people. Not naman a lot, but yeah, I had a good track record. Charot! It was hard because I know how promiscuous showbiz can be," Heart explained.

When Chiz quipped that the benefit of marrying an average-looking guy is not having a lot of competition, Heart added: "Darling, you know, it's not about being gwapo. Can I just say? First and foremost, it's not like you're fugly. You're so good looking, you have that gravitas when you walk into a room. Hello, I saw you, sa La Union pa kita nakita, grabe 'no, nagulat ako.

"I've always had a crush on [you] because of the way [you] spoke and how intelligent you are. So I thought that I would be jealous because nga siyempre, when you're with somebody who is also in a way in a certain position, maraming mga kekembot," Heart continued, before finally, the actress said, "But, huh. Try me. Try me, darling."
