Dancer-turned-online personality Toni Fowler slammed DJ Loonyo for allegedly lying about his life story as seen in an episode of a drama anthology. This, after the ex-girlfriend and mother of the DJ’s late son — Aika Flores — broke her silence on the issue.

Calling Loonyo (real name Rhemuel Lunio) “DJ Demunyu,” Toni started her lengthy post by revealing that she and Aika go way back as both of them belong to the same dance group in the past.

“Small world no?

Toni said she bore witness to Aika’s sacrifices when the latter was still carrying DJ Loonyo’s child.

500 pesos lang TF (talent fee) namin non per day! Ganon ka kritikal yun brad with rehearsal pa bago mag show!

Branding DJ Loonyo a liar, she said: “Isa ka ding walang bay@g! Sinungaling!”

DJ Loonyo’s ex Aika Flores cries foul

Aika, in an open letter posted on Facebook, belied Loonyo’s claims and exposed the “truth” behind the latter’s life story.

According to Aika, she introduced Loonyo to her family and went to the dancer’s hometown right after her graduation. She also revealed that Loonyo used her pregnancy to his advantage in various situations.

Lamenting Loonyo’s actions when their son passed away, she said: “After ng libing niya ni isang beses di mo na siya dinalaw! kaya wag kang pa victim! Walang sustento,” Aika stated.

At the end of her open letter, she asked Loonyo to stop using her name as well as that of her son to further his alleged interests.

DJ Loonyo apologizes

As soon as Aika’s letter went viral, DJ Loonyo’s team penned an open letter to clarify the depiction of his life story in the show — citing creative decisions from the staff of the program as the main reason.

“First and foremost, DJ Loonyo conducted an interview to share intimate and publicly unknown details about his life for the coverage, with the request to omit or leave out some sensitive parts, particularly pertaining to his son,” the statement said.

The statement continued: “We, as a management and team, signed a contract allowing the program to enhance certain aspects of his life, because it is still, in fact, for a dramatic TV show retelling.”

While Loonyo and his team did not pertain to anyone in specific, the online sensation — through a statement — apologized to those offended by the retelling of his story on television.

“On behalf of Rhemuel or DJ Loonyo, we would like to sincerely apologize to the individuals or their families who were offended by the retelling of his life story. We genuinely mean no offense, nor wish any ill or harm on anyone, most of all that of his son.”

DJ Loonyo rose to prominence for his dance videos on Facebook where he currently has 2.7 million followers.
