With more and more K-Pop acts getting into the sound of Ben&Ben and hyping up the music of the nine-piece group, there’s no wonder why they became a trending topic in South Korea.

Just recently, Ben&Ben found out that they made it to the number one spot on the South Korean music streaming app Melon’s trending list, followed by the song “Leaves” at number two.

“Woah this is crazy. We're trending in South Korea,” Ben&Ben wrote on Instagram.

Taking it subtly on Twitter, the group simply tweeted: “Uy nice.”

But it may very well have to do with Mark of NCT 127 and Young K of Day 6 who both showed some love for the music of the OPM act.

After finding out that NCT 127’s Mark played “Leaves” during a live broadcast, Ben&Ben instantly thanked the former for listening to their song.

Ben&Ben wrote: “Hey thanks for playing our song ‘Leaves’, Mark of @NCTsmtown_127!”

According to Young K of Day 6, who called Ben&Ben’s song “amazing” said he listened to it after several fans recommended it to him.

“Yesterday, a lot of people l recommended Ben&Ben. Asking, have you listened to them? So I went to check out the song ‘Leaves.’ Wow the song is really good? It's really good,” Young K said in a video as translated by a fan. He added in English: “Ben&Ben. Leaves. It was amazing, wow. I was surprised.”

Thanking Young K on Twitter, Ben&Ben replied: “Thank u for listening to our music, young k of @day6official!”

In a separate Instagram post, Ben&Ben combined the two videos and promised to give NCT 127 and Day6’s music a listen.

“This week, a lot of great kpop acts discovered our music. here is young k of @day6kilogram and mark of @nct127 ! thank you for appreciating ‘leaves’ we will listen to your music too!

But the two K-Pop singers from NCT 127 and DAY6 aren’t the first K-Pop acts to take notice of Ben&Ben’s talent as the indie-folk group has recently gained the attention of artists from two other South Korean groups.

Back in March, Chenle of K-Pop group NCT Dream played Ben&Ben’s “Leaves” when he sat in for the show of his fellow group member Renjun on Yuedong Seoul Radio.

Last May, Red Velvet’s Wendy discovered Ben&Ben’s music after turning to fans to seek suggestions of songs she can listen to.

“Omg their voice is so beautiful. Oh my. Thank you for your beautiful recommendation,” said of Ben&Ben after listening to one of their songs.

NCT 127, managed by SM Entertainment, is the K-Pop group behind the songs “Cherry Bomb,” “Simon Says,” and “Superhuman,” among others.

Meanwhile, Day6, which debuted in 2015 under JYP Entertainment, is the group behind the songs “You Were Beautiful,” “Shoot Me,” “Congratulations,” and “I Loved You.”

Ben&Ben is one of the biggest OPM bands in the country right now. The group is behind the official soundtracks of films like Carlo Aquino and Angelica Panganiban’s Exes Baggage and Khalil Ramos and Gabbi Garcia’s LSS (Last Song Syndrome).
