Despite not being able to attend the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) for her movie Sunshine, Maris Racal proudly shared on social media her supposed look for the festival.

On her Instagram page, Maris posted snapshots of her in her gown created by March Rancy.

"The dress I was supposed to wear for Toronto International Film Festival 2024. Thank you to mama @marcrancy for this gown!" she wrote.

The actress expressed her excitement for the screenings of Sunshine in the different parts of the world following its premiere at TIFF.

At sana mapalabas na to sa Pilipinas soon!" she said.

Fans online were quick to react to Maris' post.

"Congrats. You're not only talented but beautiful as well.

"Super pretty Maris! Congrats sa movie mo na Sunshine! 🩷" another fan wrote.

Maris was not able to grace TIFF due to scheduling conflicts with her new series Incognito.

"I made a commitment kasi and this (‘Incognito’ shoot in Italy) is booked na way early this year. I appreciate naman the production and ABS-CBN, they really tried to move things around for me 'cause they know how important TIFF is for me. They really tried. They really tried to change the schedule but matagal na talagang naka-book 'yung Italy," the actress relayed in a recent interview with ABS-CBN News.

Sunshine is the lone Filipino film at this year's TIFF.

According to production company Project 8 Projects, Sunshine follows the story of "a young gymnast [who] finds out she is pregnant on the week of the national team tryouts. On her way to a seller of illegal abortion drugs, she meets a mysterious girl who eerily thinks and talks like her."

Maris plays the young gymnast in the film.

Ahead of its TIFF premiere, the trailer of the movie was released on August 30.
