SB19 and BINI will be honored by Billboard Korea at the Billboard K POWER 100 in Seoul on August 27.

According to a report by Billboard Philippines, the two groups will be receiving the Voices Of Asia Award for "their groundbreaking contributions to Filipino music and their unwavering championing of P-pop on the global stage."



The groups will also be performing at the event with SB19 to perform "Gento" and BINI to perform "Cherry On Top."

Fans online were quick to express their excitement for the two P-Pop groups for this new milestone.

Aside from the two P-Pop acts, the event will also be graced by various K-Pop artists and Brazilian pop star Luísa Sonza. Billboard executives will also be present including Billboard President Mike Van, Editorial Director Hannah Karp, and the Billboard leaders from the Philippines, Brazil, and Japan.



The Billboard K POWER 100 aspires to "highlight the influence of Korean music, particularly K-pop, on the global music industry." The event will focus on the Korean and Asian music industries, honoring influential figures from the region for their achievements.

Composed of Pablo, Josh, Stell, Ken, and Justin, SB19 was formed in 2018.

They became the first Southeast Asian act to receive a nomination at the Billboard Music Awards and the first to break into the top 10 of the Billboard Social 50.

 In 2023, the group launched their own company 1Z Entertainment which is currently managing their career.

Among their hit songs include "Go Up," "What?," "Bazinga," "Gento," and "Moonlight," among others. 

Composed of Aiah, Colet, Maloi, Gwen, Stacey, Mikha, Jhoanna, and Sheena, BINI made their debut in 2021.

Hailed as the Nation's Girl Group, they became the first Filipino pop group to achieve the highest number of monthly listeners on Spotify and the first to top Billboard's Philippine Songs chart. BINI is also the first recipients of Billboard Philippines' Women in Music Rising Star Award.

Among their hit tracks include "Pantropiko," "Salamin, Salamin," "Karera," "Cherry On Top," and "I Feel Good," among others.
